The Bulwark

An Iron Age hillfort, the Bulwark, is located here although, unusually, not on the summit. It has an enclosure of around 0.9 hectares and is surrounded with a bank and ditch. It is likely that it was developed over several periods. The hill is also covered with Bronze Age cairns, no less than 14.
