Merlins Hills

Much of Merlin's past is a mystery which you would expect. These are the hills looking from Carmarthen where Merlin originated from.

Merlin was certainly based in Carmarthen prior to his abduction at age 7, and the abduction of his mother by Vortigern that occurred in AD 457.

Merlin's mother is in the records as Aldan (her Celtic name), she appears to have been one and the same as Avitoria whose commemorative stone lies at the little church with its petite little windows, now called St Gummin's.
