Marros and Amroth

Marros has a wonderful beach with a petrified forest burried in the sand which is occasionally visible. Access is either by walking down from the church area above the cliffs about a mile down the track or you can get there by walking along the beach from Pendine but take care of the tides - they come in quickly here.

You could of course ride a horse here and there is a riding school where you can hire a horse.

Interestingly there is also a carbon offset project based at Marros. The Coed Marros Cooperative vision is to experiment with and demonstrate different ways of harmonising sustainable human livelihoods with the nurturing and caring for the Coed Marros woodland based upon Permaculture ethics and principles according to their web site.

Amroth is a small seaside village with a few holiday shops and eateries and a pub on a long pebbly and sandy beach. Amroth Castle is a holiday village with varied accommodations.
